Thong Ping Pong 2010

UPA staff supported Youngcare’s first national awareness day on 1st October 2010 by donning their best pluggers and participating in a Thong Ping Pong knockout tournament where thongs replaced bats....read more

Competition started out slowly as we came to terms with floppy flip flops but grew fierce as competitors became comfortable with their jandal bats.

Accountant Grant Escreet was the winner of the day, taking home half the competition entry fees with the other half being donated to Youngcare.

There are 6,500 young Australians with full-time care needs currently living in aged care simply because there are few alternatives. A further 700,000 are being cared for at home by family and friends.

Youngcare exists to drive change to create real choice in care and accommodation options for young Australians with full-time care needs.
